<p>Scottish Highlands 1823. The people of Glen nan Gall live by subsistence farming and illicit whisky distilling.</p><p>Twenty-year-old Fiona Gunn is the daughter of the chief smuggler; a small-made girl with a quick temper that hides her kind heart. After the militia march into the glen to put a stop to the distilling and smugging Fiona befriends a young officer Ensign Hepburn who has been tasked with finding the smugglers.</p><p>Her mother has other plans however as she tries to match Fiona with a local man Niall Grant.
