The book consists of elementary and pre-intermediate courses with parallel dutch-english texts. the author maintains learnersmotivation with funny stories about real life situations such as meeting people, studying, job searches, working etc. the alarm method (approved learning automatic remembering method) utilize natural human ability to remember words used in texts repeatedly and systematically. the author composed each sentence using only words explained in previous chapters. the second and the following chapters of the elementary course have only about 30 new words each. audio tracks inclusive on lppbooks/dutch/firstdutchreader/en/ review good book for simple sentences that help build your ability to feel the structure and word order. helped expand my vocabulary with more conversational words.great book for learning dutch!! very pleased.... easy to read and understand. highly recommend!
