During the last few winter days of 1944 in a little town in Belgium World War II raged on with brutal fighting took place between the American and German forces during the early stage of the Battle of the Bulge. Few cared about the civilian population who got caught in the middle of the crossfire. Among all the killing and fighting an American soldier had to make a choice between obeying orders or saving a civilians life.
