Biodiversity is most essential for stabilization of all ecosystems protection of overall environmental quality for understanding intrinsic worth of all species live on the earth.  India plays one of the world’s mega ichthyofaunal biodiversity and stand in the ninth position in terms of freshwater mega biodiversity. Almost all Indian fish species are monsoon breeders and showing upstream migrations during the season of rain and coming back to the river channel in after this season is a common feature of these migratory species.
