Five Children and It

<p>In this classic children's adventure five siblings-Cyril Anthea Robert Jane and their baby brother known as the Lamb-discover a magical wish-granting creature called a Psammead buried in a sandpit near their country home. The Psammead is a grumpy ancient being with the power to grant one wish a day but each wish ends at sunset. As the children make their wishes they quickly realize that magic can lead to unexpected consequences bringing humor adventure and sometimes trouble.
