Five Days of Dick

Dick Dillard owns a small publishing company in the Los Angeles area and for the most part minds his own business as a misanthropic editor who holds up in his office reading shitty manuscripts all day long. However when a tenet is beheaded on his floor he finds that hes a better detective than the local police and sets out to prove it only he discovers that he might have been the target.
