Flipped classroom learning: what does the learner think?

About The Book

The flipped classroom is an innovative pedagogical approach that reverses and adapts the learning activities traditionally offered to students by alternating between distance learning and in-class training. In this model course content is delivered pre-class through variable resources often available online and class time is devoted exclusively to team projects teacher and peer exchanges hands-on exercises and other collaborative activities.Forty students (83.3%) were confident that the strategy adopted fostered more sustainable learning compared to the usual tutorial session format. Of the 48 students surveyed 29 (60.4%) preferred the pedagogical strategy proposed by the flipped classroom to the traditional lecture-based instruction. In our experience the flipped classroom seems to be an effective pedagogical approach that is appreciated by the students
