Flow with the Flow

About The Book

I n this book I am excited to share a journey inspired by my own experiences and the hundreds of women and girls I have worked with. Today’s world is moving at a breakneck pace and it is easy to feel the pressure to constantly prove ourselves. As women we are often swept up in a masculine-dominated competitive environment that does not always make space for what makes women unique. Over time I have seen how so many women struggle often ignoring or downplaying their unique monthly cycles and natural rhythms only to face stress-related health issues hormonal imbalances and a disconnect from the essence of womanhood. This experience is not unique to just a few women it is a struggle I have seen across ages backgrounds and lifestyles. The problem often is not with us but with how we are conditioned to approach life focusing on competition and constant productivity while forgetting or suppressing the natural power that resides within us. So what if there was a way to thrive in this competitive world without constantly fighting against ‘our own’ ourselves? What if instead of struggling to “keep up” we could flow naturally with our unique rhythm? Perhaps I also had not attached much importance to the rhythm of my periods when I first began with it. Like everyone else I did what needed to be done (changing pads) without much thought. What was different thoughwas when my cycle became irregular a few times duringheavy work especially when I was working late at night.Everything around me began to change at this point: theamount of sleep I got the energy I mustered what I atehow I eliminated and even my health in general. This called for more attention and sensitivity to thebody and its various natural processes. I then understoodthat my period was not just a routine happening but anaspect of my health indirectly linking me to my physicalmental and social status. Balancing my life would startby paying attention to these signs and understanding howthey could eventually affect my health. Hence I respectmy cycle and view it as a source of power renewal and alesson to pay attention to what my body needs.I have an opportunity to work with women and girlsthrough personalized sessions. Every woman who cometo me has a unique story shaped by various challengesand dreams yet they all face similar difficulties fitting intothis competitive world. They are balancing their dreamsfamilies careers and health and often in doing sothey lose touch with their rhythm. Many have begun tooverlook or even resent their periods viewing them as anobstacle rather than ‘as a guide to their inner strength’.We started working with them to shift their perspectiveto see their cycle not as something to endure but assomething to treasure something that holds a power entirely their own and helped them to design a life centeredon honouring their cycles discussing their period healthwhat it truly means to be a woman and how to embracetheir inherent feminine power. This wasn’t just aboutinformation—it was about a whole approach a new way tothink and relate with their inner selves.Through personalized yoga sadhana from superficialself-care practices to deeper elements like yamas niyamasasanas breathing techniques contemplation and bhavana(or loving-kindness) we wanted them to build a mindsetso that they could flow nicely with the rhythm of theirlives rather than being continuously swept by it. And theresults were surprising. As these women began to tuneinto their natural cycles and place faith in the power oftheir womanhood they found a renewal of confidencecalmness and clarity. They tapped into a power withinthemselves that they had never known before—a powerthat is always there but overshadowed by the requirementsof a world that rarely respects it or remains buried.Over and again watching this transformation I knewI had to share this message more widely. I have seenwomen go from struggling with stress anxiety and self-doubt to embracing a mindset of awe and acceptance. They began to flow in the same world that once felt hostileand overwhelming. They weren’t just coping—they werethriving. They were learning ‘to flow’ ‘to grow’ and ‘tosucceed’ in a way that felt true to them. This book is a way of bringing those ideas and practices into your hands. I hope that through these pages you will begin to see your cycle as a source of guidance power and pride. The practices and wisdom I share are here to help you design a lifestyle that honours the incredible cyclical nature of your body and mind. This is not just about surviving in a competitive world—it is about thriving in it and doing so without losing touch with your true self Ultimately this book is about embracing who we are as women. In a world that often pressures us to be something else to keep pace with a masculine-dominated world that values constant action I invite you to slow down when needed and connect with the wisdom within you. As you work with these practices I hope that you step away from all the fear anxiety and competition. Instead you embrace the steady rhythm of your flow and allow your cycle and feminine power to be the key to unlocking resilience balance and success.
