<p>From childhood and throughout the years Dwight H. Kelley has been inspired by authors such as Carl Sandburg and William Wadsworth Longfellow. Simple poetry is one way of expressing the emotions of everyday life and its' beautiful surroundings.<br><br>Early years for Dwight brought sorrows at time yet joy rose to the occasion as he moved on into his high school years at Mckenzie High School in lower Alabama. He wrote his first poem in eighth grade English class called (Spring) but never had it published.
