<p>A lost soul. A conflicted soldier.</p><p>It's always the little things that ruin everything. While the galaxy embraces a fragile peace for the veteran crew of Gold 1 there is no rest to be had. A simple sleeper escort becomes anything but revealing the tip of a very dangerous iceberg.</p><p>As danger grows and battle lines are drawn the fox-like holdren Sundale will rely on his crewmates as he always has except they may not be able to help him this time. While he deals with homesickness for a home he's never known this new threat will test him his mother and their human commander in ways that could be the proverbial straw that breaks them all. More so when Sundale is forced to face other trials and demons alone all while a young man caught between doubt and duty faces his own.</p><p>When the two come face to face their fates will intertwine or cancel each other out. There are choices to be made and loyalties tested either could mean the end for one or both.</p>
