Jack has recently given up his full-time job to concentrate on writing a book on the Mary Rose. Finding it easier to work at night his routine has changed and he now sleeps during the day. Meanwhile his wife Maddy continues her job as a photographer in order to support them both. Then one day much to Jack's horror Maddy brings home a self-help book with a view to improving what Jack thought was a perfectly happy relationship.
