The Food & Survival Plants Along the Pacific Crest Trail series of handbooks is the culmination of almost 20 years of field work. These handbooks were created to introduce hikers to the abundance of wild and native foods along this 2650-mile long trail. This is the fourth of the six handbooks developed for the through- and section-hikers of the Pacific Crest Trail and covers the approximately 530 miles in Northern California from Sierra City to the California/Oregon border.
