This book is about the problems that arise when a middle-aged married man (the protagonist) who feels his life has become stagnant goes to a strip club with friends from work looking for something new. He meets a dancer engages in a dance and soon becomes obsessed with her. He frequents the club thinking he is in love with her and doesn't realize it is just a game with her and she soon takes him for as much as she can. The end result is tragedy for all involved. The book explores the behind the scenes at the club from several dancers and their clients and well as the protagonist's work life and home life. There is love deceit betrayal repentance and redemption in the end.
