<p>According to the Christian Church Mary Magdalene was a prostitute who was healed of demonic possession by Jesus of Nazareth and Judas Iscariot was a thief who betrayed the whereabouts of Jesus in exchange for a certain amount of money. In contrast the <em>Gospel of Mary</em> holds that Mary was Jesus' Beloved and the <em>Gospel of Judas</em> identifies Judas as Jesus' friend raising reasonable doubt concerning the accuracy of the Church's accusations.</p><p></p><p>In <em>For the Record: The Testimonies of Mary Magdalene and Judas Iscariot</em> the stories concerning these two biblical characters are remembered and presented in a new way and Mary and Judas finally get to have their say.</p>
