The common housefly Musca domestica have been found to live in close association with human settlements in almost all parts of the world. Besides causing nuisance these flies are considered to be potential vectors of many dreadful diseases. This book aims to understand the foraging behavior vector competence of adult houseflies in an urban area.It also provides an insight on the disadvantages of existing methods of housefly control and how plant based insecticides can be used as an appropriate alternative to abate this synanthropic houseflies from our midst.
