Forest governance

Today with rising temperatures and populations forests and trees are at the heart of many major challenges: supporting agricultural production mitigating the effects of droughts floods and storms regulating climate and water resources protecting infrastructure producing timber and preserving biodiversity. For this reason it is relevant to look at the legal aspects of forest governance in a comparative study based on the following questions:- Is forest governance an effective means of protecting or preserving nature? Are the governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo and France taking concrete action to improve forest governance? Why is this comparative study between French and Congolese law on forest governance necessary for good forest management? How can forest governance strengthen the forest sector?
