Forest resources stand significant with respect to their geographical spread. It is also important to analyse as to what is the existing state of the world's forests in the current context. The consequences of deforestation are also immense diversified profound yet interrelated. The second part of the series presented herein focusses on these aspects after outlining the nature and distribution of the forest resource in Part-I.
