Forgotten Loyalties

<p>Someone murdered two people on a rural side road. One of them was a cop.</p><p>It was something Ontario Provincial Police Constable Terry Maynard had done a hundred times before in his career-pull a car over for speeding on a rural side road issue a ticket and move on with his day.</p><p>This time however it was different. Someone shot him dead while he sat in his cruiser writing up notes after the traffic stop. And when investigators find a second victim behind the house across the road OPP Detective Inspector Ellie March must decide who was the intended victim and who was collateral damage-the provincial constable or Dorothy Kerr a reporter for the local freebie newspaper.</p><p>As Detective Constable Kevin Walker joins the investigative team hunting for the killer his family struggles to cope with the stress caused by the murder of one of Kevin's co-workers. He and the other detectives must find a way to explain to their families that despite the danger policing is not just their job-it's who they are.</p>
