French Indo-China

<p>First published in 1937 <i>French Indo- China </i>presents a comprehensive account in English of the French colonization of Indo-China. The book does not attempt to give a chronological story nor has the same organization of material being used for all the countries studied. Rather the aim has been to present cross sections of the problem as a method of studying mutual influences and reciprocal reactions. It discusses themes like history of Annam; the French administration of Indo-China; the economy of Indo- China; Indo-Chinese literature; Cambodia Laos and the primitive tribes; and reaction to the French colonization of Indo-China. This book is an important reference work on French colonial history.</p>
