All Characters In Appendix A Are Real People. In The Novel Itself Some Monarchs Are Real But The Talking Characters Are All Fictitious. Four Generations Have Been Created For The Kaufmann Family And Three For The Mexican Hapsburgs. Two Appendices Describe The Intervention Of A Confederate Expeditionary Force On The Imperial Side In Mexico And A List Of The Presidents Of The Confederate States Of America.
