From Here to There

If one has been fortunate enough to have lived in a small coastal Maine community such as Deer Isle one can easily understand the desire to make poetry to paint and to respond creatively to its aesthetic and evocative qualities. Permission is given for wide-ranging expressions whether in idiosyncratic forms of conventions or not. Her poetry expresses a mood a memory or direct observation with a desire to share it with others. Many of the poems have been published in a small Maine newspaper where readers often each out with expressions of their relevance and with understanding. The author accepts responsibility for freedom from normal restraints of formal poetry and for the poetic license when a moment is needed.
