From Icebergs to Crocodiles

<p>As a bachelor Peter worked for six different shipping lines on ships registered on four continents. Highlights included eighteen continuous months in the Antarctic and a year running 500 miles up the then uncharted Fly River in PNG. Marriage meant settling down and he joined the Australian National Line as 4/Officer the rank he had been fourteen years previously and started the long slog back to command. His final twenty years were spent piloting more than 1000 ships through the Great Barrier Reef.</p><p></p>
