FROM REASON TO FAITH

From reason to faithIt is customary to oppose reason and faith considering them to be totally and irrevocably incompatible suggesting that the Christian faith has no rational foundation and can therefore offer no grounds for confidence nor objective reason for one’s choice.Such an attitude and contention which it must be admitted both avoid the great questions of life and death that is to say the meaning of life and what happens after death reveal a degree of thoughtlessness which can only run counter to our reason taking into account the imperious and fundamental character of what is at stake.
