From Siødamgaard Denmark to Willow Grove Farm Shelby County Iowa

Hans Redlefsen (born in 1781) began a genealogy which recorded the Redlefsen family history. It begins with the birth of Hans' grandfather Redlef Lausten (also spelt Lauritzen) and was continued through the generations by his son Lorenz Redlefsen until Lorenz gave it to his son-in-law Johann Heinrich Jessen who brought it to the US to Iowa where he continued what Hans had begun. I have done my best with the help of Hans Hjeds to translate the Danish and the German in this book. There are now thirteen generations which now include Redlef's mother and grandfather.
