From the Desert to Italy - Letters from an 8th Army Soldier

The letters I have put together are from one of my father's friends Cliff Dewin who served with the 8th Army in the desert and Italian theatres of the Second World War. Both men were keen anglers and gardeners. Publishing these letters preserves a record of one man's experience in the Second World War and records his fascinating observations on plant wildlife and angling. They also provide an insight into how Dewin's interest in parochial matters back home helped him cope with his front line war service.
