From the Heart

From the Heart is a collection of poems that delves into the topic of mankind's relationship to the Earth and the life thereon and his reliance on God. It also considers man's relationship with his fellow men and other life on this planet. Some of the poems are philosophical in nature. Most contain references to God and/or natural subjects.<p>For example the following poem was written by the author to his beloved wife:<br>To the love of my life my wife Sally Ann<br>Love's Redemption<br>My life was like a parched and arid plain<br>Shriveling my soul to a tiny grain<br>I was always very much alone<br>With none that I could call my own<br>When I could no longer bear the strain <br>Your love came to me like a gentle rain<br>As your love I came to know<br>The tiny grain began to grow<br>As love began to ease the pain<br>I knew that I had much to gain<br>My soul expanded to full measure<br>And my life was filled with pleasure<br>You became the center of my life<br>And I asked you to be my wife<br>Now many years have passed<br>So I know our love will last<br>Life is not as it once seemed<br>Because your love my soul redeemed<br>
