From the history of painting and carpet-weaving folk craftsmanships in Ganja

In monograph the aim is to provide the reader with detailed information about the stages of historical development of painting carpet weaving and pottery trades in Ganja one of ancient cities of our country. As shown in the table of contents the richness of the flora of the geographical territory of Azerbaijan richness of the flora included here the use of 1500 (33%) of the 4500 higher plant species as dye plants. the use of blue pink and green minerals was noted. 7-9 colors were used in dyeing carpet yarns in the plain villages of Ganja up to 10-12 in mountain villages 8-12 in Gazakh 9-10 in Garabakh.Fruit trees in Ganja Garabakh Gazakh regions wild and cultivated plants typical for region - mulberry quince apricot apple etc. Autumn leaves of trees walnut bark leaves pomegranate dried bark were used in dyeing yarns. The species has not escaped the attention of famous European artists. The role of Ganja carpet-weaving school in the subject carpets of Azerbaijan is especially noted.
