<p>Amber Tregannis spends her days defending wealthy sociopaths for her grandfather's prestigious law firm. She spends her nights working hard to avoid transforming into a Wer Cougar. As much as she enjoys the wild freedom of a hunt she is petrified of the violence and mayhem she might inflict on innocent people.</p><p>She does not trust easily and has few friends. The few people she associates with regularly are not part of the Wer community.</p><p>Then one night when she can't suppress her need to run free under a full moon she is hunted.</p><p>The aftermath forces her to walk a delicate tightrope between her two worlds and confront her fears. Only then can she find the courage to face rogue Wer and trusted Veterinarians. Have they found a cure for the curse of the Wer or do they doom her people to a half-life of indecision and weakness where they are now the prey</p>
