Full-Wave Equivalent Circuit for Printed Circuit Structures

Based on full-wave modelling approach this bookpresents an accurate and efficient algorithm that iscapable of extracting the full-wave electrical modelof any arbitrary printed circuit structure. Theextracted electrical model is compatible with anySPICE-based simulation tool and it allows electronicengineers to perform SI and EMI analyses of specificPCB layout using the familiar SPICE-based designtools without another set of electromagneticsimulation tool. To speed up the circuit extractioncomputational time fast and accurate computation ofthe matrix elements in the MoM formulation is veryessential. Based on the derived approximatedanalytical expressions for the selected basisfunctions used in the full-wave formulation thisbook presents an efficient and accurate method toevaluate the impedance elements in the MoM matrix.
