<p>If &lsquo;dukkha&rsquo; or suffering is the first noble truth as Buddha says and desire is cause of &lsquo;dukkha&rsquo; then what causes desire? <i><b>Why do we want what we want?</b></i> Why do we make the choices that we make and why even after getting what we choose all that we end up with is a sour after taste and a baggage of unimagined consequences? On the other hand when we restrain our desires then also we suffer. <i><b>Why are we what we are?</b></i></p><p>After returning from the hospital an irascible old Vijayant undergoes a curious transformation which lands him in a unique situation where the past and the present dissolve setting &nbsp;him on a journey of reflection and self enquiry to find the answers to such fundamental questions and the origin of his grief. The answers are quite different from what he thought and what he believed.&nbsp;</p>
