Fundamentals of Information Technology

There are many topics covered in An Introduction to the Digital World for Undergraduates that students will experience in their IT studies and professions. Linux and Windows operating systems are covered as well as system administration responsibilities scripting computer network protocols regular expressions binary numbers (including hexadecimal) the Linux Bash shell DOS process and service management and computer safety. IT-related occupations such as network and web administration; computer forensics; web development; and software engineering are also included in the course material.
