Fundamentals of Modern Avionics Engineering

Avionics is derived from the words aviation electronics. Avionics encompasses aircraft communication navigation safety/surveillance and information management systems. Avionics systems have undergone a plethora of transformation both technological and functionally over the past decade which has been greatly influenced by advancements in the computer and information technology industry.This book discusses some areas where avionics system integration or integrated avionics provide added value to a platform. The primary focus of this book however is aircraft navigation and communication system with minimal emphasis on software application.
