FUNDAMENTALS OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Fundamentals of Research Methodology is intended to help higher education students to understand the basic principles for conducting scientific research. The knowledge and understanding of research methodology will support the capacity to engage in ongoing research activities while studying and producing acceptable research projects. Additionally the training on scientific research will help the students to nurture a scientific mindset arising from being able to think logically and critically. Fundamentals of Research Methodology is the first part (Book 1) of a Lecture Note Series on Research Methodology by the author.Prof. Uwem Essia holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Calabar Nigeria (2003). He taught economics and supervised academic research projects and theses/dissertations in many universities in Nigeria and Cameroon for several years. He has equally participated in some consultancies and research activities for state and non-state organizations.
