About The Book

Garbh Sanskar: A Pilgrimage Within is an effort to bring together various concepts related to the rich Indian heritage and the culture of Garbh Sanskar, which is an umbrella term that incorporates all dimensions of life. Keeping in mind the paucity of compiled work on the Garbh Sanskar, this book has been conceptualised to sensitise the younger generation towards this innovative concept. An effort has been made to give a cursory glance addressing the social, psychological, physiological/biological concepts of conception, development of the fetus, and other medical issues pertaining to Indian shades. This textbook entails twenty-seven chapters related to the syllabus of the Diploma in Garbh Sanskar. Further, there are issues pertaining to pregnancy: pre- and post-care. Discussions on the bond of marriage, family counseling, parenting, and motherhood are some attractions of the book. The role of music, yoga, parenting, the Ayurvedic model of Garbh Sanskar, the nutritional and dietary issues, meditation, mindfulness, IVF/Surrogacy, and postpartum depression have also been addressed.
