This book is the result of 50 years of scientific and practical activity in the field of gastroenterology. It also provides a critical analysis of the current understanding of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) which was created about 40 years ago by manufacturers of diagnostic equipment together with practitioners who do not have scientific training.
