(Ethiopian Calendar).</p><ul><li><ul><li>It was <strong>started</strong> by <strong>Mämhər Kiflə Giyorgis</strong>.</li><li>It was <strong>expanded and elaborated upon</strong> by <strong>Aläqa Kidanä Wäld Kifle</strong>.</li><li>It was <strong>revised and edited</strong> by <strong>Aläqa Dästa Täklä Wäld</strong>.</li></ul></li></ul><p class=ql-align-center></p><p></p><p><strong>Key Differences of the New Edition</strong></p><p>This new edition differs from the original in three main ways:</p><ol><li><ol><li><strong>Alphabetical Order:</strong> The original edition was arranged in the <strong>አ፣ በ፣ ገ፣ ደ...</strong> <strong>Abegede</strong> (Abä-gə-dä) order whereas the new edition has been changed to the <strong>ሀ፣ ለ፣ ሐ፣ መ...</strong> <strong>Hälähame</strong> (Hä-lä-ḫa-mä) order.</li><li><strong>Language Translation:</strong> The original dictionary translated from Geez to Amharic. This new edition however has changed the translation from Geez to <strong>English</strong> making it more accessible to English-speaking readers and researchers.</li><li><strong>Translation of Examples:</strong> The original book contained over 40000 examples quotes poems proverbs etc. in Geez that were not translated in the Amharic edition.
