Gender and Violence in Islamic Societies

Public violence by the state in the MENA region often dominates headlines but gender-based violence in both public and private forms is often ignored. This book is a wide range of examples of gender-based violence across the region demonstrating that such violence is diverse in intensity and in the processes by which it is addressed.
