Gender Bias in ESL Acquisition - A Study of the Communicative Incompetence of girls in mixed schools is an attempt to analyze the reasons for inadequate communicative competence of girls in a mixed classroom. The book aims to identify the problems faced by girls while learning English and to understand the psychology of girls and their behaviour in mixed schools. Girls should possess the characteristic features of a good language learner which would lead to interactions in language classes and such interactions would make them acquire the language.Use of learning strategies and motivation facilitate the acquisition of English Language Learning in mixed classes.
