Gender in Georgia

<ul> <li> <em>Gender in Georgia </em>is the first edited volume that brings together an international group of feminist scholars to explore the political economic social and cultural conditions that have shaped gender dynamics in Georgia from the late 19th century to the present.</li> <li> The majority of contributors to this volume are Georgian scholars specializing in Gender Studies who have helped establish the discipline at Tbilisi State University.</li> <li> There are few scholarly works published in Gender Studies from post-Soviet countries particularly from those in Central Asia and the South Caucasus. There are even fewer publications published by Georgian scholars for international readers.</li></ul>
