Gender Linguistics in Online Tennis Journalism

This book examines how gender is constructed in online tennis journalism through linguistic choices and reporting patterns. Using a self-compiled corpus of articles from leading tennis websites it investigates whether male and female players are described differently and how the gender of journalists may influence representation. By combining keyword analysis collocation patterns and statistical tests the study uncovers systematic gender tendencies.The work situates these findings within the broader field of gender linguistics and sports discourse offering insights into how language perpetuates or challenges stereotypes in contemporary media.
