GENDER SCHOOL AND SOCIETY

This book is designed in accordance with the latest syllabus prescribed by NCTE and Tamil Nadu teachers education University Chennai. The first br>Unit brings to light the importance of gender role in society and distinguishes between sex and gender. The second br>Unit focuses on gender identity and Socialisation processes. The succeeding br>Unit expounds the representation of gender roles in school textbooks and how to integrate gender studies content in curriculum. The fourth br>Unit concentrates on violence on safety of girls and women and the role of education in preventing sexual abuse and violence.
