This book investigates the disparities in cognitive skills between genders among eighth-grade pupils in Tamil Nadu's Theni district. The study evaluated the verbal numerical spatial memory and reasoning abilities of an equal number of boys and girls from both government and private schools using a standardized Cognitive Ability Test. According to the study social and environmental factors account for a greater portion of these variations than biological differences. It highlights how important it is to use gender-sensitive teaching methods and give every student the same academic support. The results challenge prejudices and promote inclusive education policy fostering a more balanced and equal learning environment.
