We conducted a Design + Build Resilience Workshop in May 2018. Through this initiative we built a full-scale resilient architectural model that responds to the local context of floods soil erosion and high intensity earthquakes in the river-island of Majuli Assam in India. The paper explores a series of questions linked across the white-spaces between several domains and disciplines through a real-life built project: What is Ecology Theory? Can Contextual Innovation help Architecture adapt better to Disasters? Can Indigenous Knowledge serve as a response to the Global Rise of Sea Levels?
