Genetic variability correlation path and D2 analysis in cowpea [Vignaunguiculata (L.) Walp.]was studied in a set of thirty two genotypes of cowpea grown in a randomized block design with three replications during summer - 2015 at Regional Horticultural Research Station NAU Navsari. Analysis of variance revealed significant genotypic differences for all the twelve quantitative characters under study. A wide range of variation was apparent for all the characters. The genotypic coefficient ofvariation heritability and genetic advance were observed highest for the characters viz. number of pods per plant and green pod yield per plant. High heritability (77.44%) coupled with high genetic advance (52.08) observed for green pod yield per plant very high heritability (94.47%) for plant height at final harvest indicate that phenotypic selection would be effective for genetic improvement in these traits.
