GENRE: A COMPASS

In this new XXI century the gender theory has been extended enough to favor the female sector of society marginalized excluded and invisible in many areas of knowledge and human activities. This brief book gathers some works that evidence the work of Cuban women to make gender equality a reality which is not limited in any way to the biological but goes beyond to the social factor that is a determining factor in society and of which all human beings are conditioned. Remember that the human being is bio-psycho-social and that it was not until he was socialized with other men that he could speak walk think in short become humanized. And in this process the matriarchy that initially existed was imposed on the patriarchy with the inclusion of the monogamous way of life between men and women. Many have been the years that from the feminist movement women have had to fight for their human rights. Here in the book are the forms of this struggle and some of the achievements that have been reached.
