This book is targeted towards evaluation of human activities that affects our environment. The environment must be sustained not for our generation alone but for generations yet unborn as we explore and exploit the natural resources which nature has endowed us. In our bid to sustain the environment we need simple mathematical indices that can give us an insight as to the degree of pollution and contamination of the environment.
