About The Book

Geographical Excursions in London explores the growth and development of London as a World City capital of Britain and large metropolitan area through its major functions institutions peoples and internal spatial structures. It is the first time in over thirty years that these objectives have been realized by a comprehensive series of field excursions in different parts of London. Each excursion focuses on the evolution of that area the forces responsible for change and the various problems and planning issues faced by the area today.
