Pioneer-Missionary and Explorer an Autobiography<br><br>I have written this account of my life very unwillingly in deference to the oft-repeated wishes of my many friends and of the Conference to which I belong. I have endeavoured however to make it in some measure a history of the principal events in the Mission Districts with which I have been more immediately connected. My difficulty has been to condense the account into reasonable limits and in doing this I have had to omit some details which might not interest the general reader as well as particulars of the manners and customs folk lore and other matters of interest to students of anthropology and ethnology.
