Geotechnical Properties of Major Problem Soils of Nigeria

This is a compendium of soil geotechnical properties in Nigeria especially the ones that are problematic to civil engineering construction works like roads dams buildings and so on. It is a database of information on all the research and findings on typical Nigerian soils most importantly the ones that poses problem to construction. Contours were developed using ArcGIS software for the soil geotechnical properties on a digital map of Nigeria where adequate data were obtained for the soils. The database will be of immense use to contractors consultants researchers and students that wish to know more about problem soils in Nigeria.
