Throughout a woman’s life cycle hormonal influences affect therapeutic decision making in periodontics. Oral health care professionals need to have greater awareness of and better capabilities for dealing with hormonal influences associated with reproductive process. Periodontal and oral tissues may be altered creating diagnostic dilemmas.
